Water Department

The Village of Potter’s water system is supplied by two wells. The quality of the groundwater in Potter does not necessitate a water treatment plant, and the Village is prohibited by the voters from the fluoridation of the Village's water supply.  

The Maintenance Supervisor is also the Water Operator for the Village’s water system, and is responsible for the repair of water mains, fire hydrants, valves, water service lines, curb boxes, install new water service connections for customers.

The Village Clerk/Treasurer is currently the Village’s Back-up Water Operator. The Maintenance Supervisor makes every effort to flush all the Village's fire hydrants once a year in order to assure water quality and to keep the hydrants in good order
