Sanitary Sewer Department
The Village of Potter provides and the Maintenance Supervisor maintains the sanitary sewer system in the Village of Potter. The Village of Potter uses lagoons for the sanitary sewer waste from our customers. Lagoons are pond-like bodies of water or basins designed to receive, hold, and treat wastewater for a predetermined period of time. In the lagoon, wastewater is treated through a combination of physical, biological, and chemical processes. The treatment of the wastewater occurs naturally and the lagoons was individually designed to fit the specific site and use.
