1. What forms of payment are accepted for Village utility bills?: We accept cash, check and credit/debit cards. To pay your bill online click here.

2. When is the next Board of Trustees meeting?: The Board of Trustees meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Monday of every month. Meetings take place at the Village of Potter Office located at 922 Sherman Street Potter, Nebraska 69156.

3. Do I need a Building Permit?: Any person desiring to commence or proceed to erect, construct, repair or enlarge any building or dwelling shall file with the Building Official an application for a building permit. Please contact the Village Office at 308-879-4332 with any questions.

4. Who do I call if I have a water or sewer emergency? If I have a water leak or sewer backup will the Village fix it?: Contact the Maintenance Supervisor at 308-250-0106 for 24-hour service. The Village of Potter maintains the water and sewer mains. The water or sewer service that runs from your home or business to the water or sewer main is the responsibility of the home or business owner. If the leak or blockage is in the Village main, the Village will repair or clean the Village main.

6. How do I get an item on the Village Board meeting Agenda?: Contact the Village Office at 308-879-4332 or email the clerk at vop@potterneb.net.

7. How do I address an issue with the Board of Trustees?: Contact the Village Office at 308-879-4332 or email the clerk at vop@potterneb.net to be placed on the Agenda for the next monthly meeting.

8. Who should I call if I notice a street sign in need of repair?: Please call Village Office at (308)-879-4332 to report the problem and to give the location of the sign to the clerk.

9. Does the Village have a record of where my property lines are?: No, the Village does not have a record of where your property lines are located. It is the property owner’s responsibility to locate their property lines. If you do not know where your property lines are a survey is the best way to find the property lines.

10. How do I obtain a license for my dog(s) or cat(s)?: Dog and cat licenses can be purchased at the Village Office. You must provide proof of vaccination for each dog or cat.
